UAC History

United Air Charter was opened in September 2001 as a service to the Victoria Falls agents and operators to provide flights over the Victoria Falls and Charter work to the region both to develop Helicopter and the tourism industry in Zambia.

 

We are fully licensed and accredited operators by ZNTB and the DCA of Zambia.

 

We operate from a site known as BAOBAB RIDGE. The hill is 4km’s from the Zimbabwe/Zambian border on the left-hand side driving towards Zimbabwe. The thatched Lapa is visible from the Road. The site is unique with majestic views of the falls and was chosen both for its proximity to the falls as well as the noise considerations.

Transfer Vehicles

United Air Charter provides transfers within the whole of Livingstone and Vic Falls area.  Your transfer will be done with either our Mercedes Benz bus (with air-conditioning) or our open game drive vehicles. Depending on the weather and the area in which we must pick you up will dictate in which vehicle you will be collected. Irrespective the vehicle you will be transferred with – you will enjoy the ride.


Our drivers are all licensed, well-spoken and are well informed to give you information on the flight.

Pre Departure info

United Air Charter utilizes an EC130B4 Squirrel helicopter that can take a maximum of six passengers per flight. Our minimum number of passengers on this helicopter is four.


We also use an EC120B Colibri helicopter that can take a maximum of four passengers, while the minimum number of passengers on this helicopter is three.


All passengers on our helicopters face forward.


The helicopters we use have large windows, which means video and still photography shoots can be very successful for everyone, this includes those passengers sitting in the middle seats.


There are soft drinks and bottled water available at our canteen.


If there are groups which require anything else, such as a light lunch, snacks or alcoholic beverages, please inform us in advance for the necessary quotation.


Clients have the opportunity to purchase a DVD video of the flight.
